I have been practising Systemic Constellation Therapy since 2006, both in individual sessions, weekend workshops and retreats. I am currently writing my second book on ‘Ancestral Influences on our Lives’ due to be published in 2019. It is both a personal and professional memoir revealing her own war ravaged and traumatised ancestral history together with her healing journey.
I came to constellation Therapy through profound adversity, looking for answers I couldn’t find anywhere else. This story is recorded in my first book ‘Psychosis in the Family: The Journey of a Psychotherapist and Mother’, an alternative title could be ‘How and Why I Became a Constellation Therapist.’
I am currently researching and writing my second book on Transgeneratonal and Transpersonal Psychotherapy. Systemic Constellation therapy acknowledges that individual suffering may be contextualised and seen as an echo to the family’s responses to past traumatic events especially where there is unresolved grief. Many of our current symptoms of anxiety, depression, etc maybe understood through these transgenerational connections. They can also be released as they are acknowledged and honoured and free us from the emotional imprisonment of acting out unconscious family repetitions. Paradoxically constellation work also reinforces our transgenerational bonds of belonging, giving us a stronger sense of self and connection to life itself.
